You never have to go through this again. The more successes you pile up, the easier it gets!

Told hubby over text. He's out of town. He didn't seem that interested, but was nice about it.

Today he doesn't have to seem interested. As long as he's not undermining you. Get through today. Eat and goon out watching TV. Tomorrow a different day. And keep posting.

You ARE doing this.

That you'd crawl into a waste bin to chase after a beer tells you are far this has progressed. Stay strong! Stay stopped!

Candy and Diet Coke are what I lean on lately. I have to watch it though. Replacing one bad thing with another slightly less bad thing isn't the way to go in the long run.

But today should be about NO ALCOHOL for you. If that means eating an entire bag of Sour Patch Kids or a whole box of ice cream sandwiches then so be it. You gotta do what you gotta do. It's worth it.

Wish the trash would come. I really want to get a buzz. Hard to shut my mind off. Happy to say, though, that it is noon here and am not having any withdrawal symptoms. Just the usual stress I always have.

I got the beer from the trash, opened one, dumped it out, and threw the rest away again. I can do this.

If you can't stand them being in there, dump them all out. I fear though that going anywhere near them is dangerous. Whatever it takes to get through today. And YES you can do this.

Maybe take a walk or a short drive? Was just about to ask how you hangin in there.

I am okay. Nagging worries, but I know drinking isn't the solution.

Wonderful job! Just remember the shame and guilt you would feel if you had given in. Find some way to reward yourself (bubble bath, movie, tasty snack, good book). Pat yourself on the back and believe in yourself. Doubt is just the addicted part of your brain talking. Let the sober side win!

Yup, no beer in the house, and I honestly am not even tempted at the moment. I know I made the right choice.

So happy for you Sober!!! Congratulations. Remember though that today is a new day and a new battle. Build upon yesterday to be sure in your determination that you WILL do this. You ARE doing this. It's already happening.

Keep posting and congrats again. Nice work.
