I wasted easily 80 bucks a week on booze, and I don't miss the booze. I love being able to pay my bills and have extra spending money.

It's like getting a pay raise. I'm saving $200-$300 this month and it's being spent on things that make me happier and healthier. Congrats to everyone, do something good with it.

This is pretty common. We save money on the booze, but then we rejoin life and all that money saved is just going some where else. I'm still doing the motorcycle thing that gets even more expensive in sobriety as the trips get much longer.
