My son almost got killed....

I just got home from picking up my son from work. They sent him home because he almost got KILLED by a D11 chain coiler that fell off his hook. The chain probably weighs 1/2 ton!!! He is a crane operator. Thank God he was able to move fast! He was so shaking up he couldn't drive...Thank you God, guardian angel whoever... for watching over him!! God if I was drinking I would of never been able to go pick him up or I would of been so passed out when he needed me. Thankful I was sober and there for him!

What a scary situation. Thankfully he is fine and you were there to help. Have a restful weekend and congrats for keeping your wits about you.

I'm glad your son is ok. Being sober gives us a better chance to deal with the stuff that life throws our way.

Nel,

Wow....that is quite a story. I am so grateful your son is ok and that you are sober to be there for him. This is just another reminder that we don't know how much time we have left on the planet.....and how we should cherish this time and not throw away years (like I did) in an alcoholic haze. Give your son a hug for us....that had to be really scary.

So scary, Nel - but it's wonderful you could pick him up & be there to help him recover from the shock.
