"Beyond the influence" by Katherine ketcham is a life saving manual for anyone with a alchol addiction. I just recently picked it up, and it is a godsend as far as im concerned. Any questions you have about physiological makeup, vitamins, diet, relapse prevention, etc. is written out in an easily understood manner. I believe that everyone, alcoholic, or even concerned family and friends of an alcoholic will find the knowledge in this book invaluable. Please pick this book up if you are serious about recovery and need help with paws. You will not regret the purchase.

Yes, I have. I thought they were both incredible reads, but "beyond" had alot more information on the recovery aspect, and had alot of the important info that was in "under". Both are extraordinary reads nonetheless.

Plus, the diet and vitamin chapters are extremely important IMO. I know firsthand how tough it is to walk into the vitamin shoppe and say "I'm a recovering alcoholic, what do you recommend I buy"?
