day 28 and EXHAUSTED

Hello!

I am 28 days sober and have been sooooo tired this last week.

I eat healthy, exercise every day, drink lots of water and get 8 hrs of sleep a night. Every day this past week I have had to take 2 naps a day... and am still soooo tired.

I felt tired in the beginning, but not this bad.

Has anybody else had this issue? Im planning on giving it another few days before I go to the doctor.

Thanks!!

Hey Josie! Great job on 28 days. I think it can never hurt to see a doctor if you're concerned about something. I was really tired when I quit drinking. I wanted to see results right away and it was really frustrating when things didn't happen on my schedule, lol. Now I can see that it sometimes takes a long time to repair the damage we have done to ourselves. I told myself that if I was getting over cancer or even the flu I wouldn't be pushing myself as hard as I was when I sobered up, so I gave myself permission to rest as much as I needed, eat what I needed to, stay home as much as I needed to. It really helped a lot.

I was either tired or wired for the first two months, it's gotten much better. Still every now and then feel mentally exhausted at four months. I know it's hard to deal with, maybe others here can suggest something to help, other than time.

Hey Josie, I take a nap almost daily too, anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. Lack of energy has been my main issue. I;'m at 57 days and the past week I have noticed my energy returning.

I've been exercising more and trying to eat healthier. It is making a difference.

God bless.

Hi Josie. I was like Scolova. It lasted a few months for me. The fatigue has mainly gone away now. I figured I beat myself up so badly, it was normal that my body had to recuperate. Hope you'll feel better soon. You're doing great - 28 days is fantastic.

congrats on 28 days & being tired has really been an issue for me also.
For me it's better to take a nap if I get tired, because if I don't then I get very frustrated at myself.
