Pour It Out or Give It Away?

I made it through another Day 1. I have 8 beers remaining in my fridge.

I'm a fan of the dramatic, and maybe a visual "line in the sand" would be a psychological fresh start.

Or, I could give it to my friend.

What would you do?

I would choose whichever method got rid of it quicker.

God bless.

I don't think it matters so much HOW you get rid of it, but that you get rid of it. The sooner the better.

Stop wondering how you should get rid of it, and dump that ****!

Just my $0.02

As others have said I don't think it really matters. But for me, I would throw it away. too much explaining as to why I was giving alcohol away and wouldn't want to get into any awkward conversations

good luck.

yeah maybe just chuck it, or ceremoniously pour it down the toilet, that's where it belongs!!

I'm with Marius on this one - dump them one by one in the toilet - it's where they would end up, one way or another ;-) Congrats on day one - you can do this!!

I don't think it matters, as long as you don't drink it.

I kept mine and looked at it. Over and over again. Eventually it disappeared and I have no idea what happened to it.

Once I became a non-drinker, it didn't matter where it was. It's everywhere anyway.

pour it away and stay away from stores where you used to buy it for at least 2 months. change your gas station if need be, if it was part of your pattern. stay out of bars and restaurants that serve it for at least 6 months.

One man's opinion. Day 7.

I have the greatest faith in everyone who successfully quits drinking that, eventually, they will be "safe" with themselves and be able to continue to be a non-drinker no matter how much booze is sitting around. Or whoever may be "looking".

For some, unfortunately, that never becomes possible.

Mine, I did not drink. I don't really much care where it went, as long as it was not down my gullet.
