Niece senior in college relapse. Need help with meetings/services My niece is 22 and a senior in college. Needs more college AA help with meetings. Having major relapse. Can someone guide us to best meetings in richmond ky for college aged meetings?? Most she's attended are older adults and she needs more people her age to talk with. |
I admire your concern for your niece; it's clear you care a great deal for her. I don't know the area with regard to AA, but you might check, anonymously, with EKU for any programs they have in place, or in Lexington. Most important, however, is that she reach out for help; no one can do that for her. If she has reached out to you, I'd show her this site. It's a God-send for people of all ages, and a lot of young, college-aged students get help here. Good luck. I remember my senior year, and my impatience in wanting it to be over. It's certainly not uncharacteristic for alcoholics to go the distance, just to fall short of the finish line. Your help may be what makes the difference in her achieving her degree. But, she must want it. Good luck! |

Perhall, See below for a list of meetings in richmond, KY: Find A Meeting with Slideshow I agree with LoftyI - if she is not "done" there's virtually nothing you or anyone else can do for her. You should look into Al-anon, for your own sake. Good luck. |
I'm glad you are supporting here, but please leave it to her to find her meetings and take care of her recovery. Best wishes to your neice and your family. :) |
