Its my Birthday and not going go get drunk like last year
Last year I spent my birthday alone getting drunk. I can get kind of depressed on my birthday bc I think of what I havent accomplished in my life. Start to feel like a failure and then I want to drink. This year I am trying hard to change my thoughts around. Its a new year.

a nice fancy coffee from Dunkin is just the ticket for a cold day. and a fresh warm donut.

Best gift you can give yourself is a sober birthday right??

I use to feel the exact same way on my birthday...not anymore my friend. You're on the right track...now keep on going. Big hugs

Sobriety IS a great gift to give to yourself. So are efforts to accomplish all of the things you want to accomplish. Instead of getting down on yourself about these things, look at them as opportunities to build and create a better you!
