First time I've felt "whatever"
Isabella,
You are doing great if have chosen not to drink. what is going to happen is your focus will get better and your mind will become keen again. It is happening w/ me now! I have a calender and I write stuff down and the amazing part is I remember things from day to day even before checking it! My focus has returned and I am no young pup, I am 47.
When I was drinking and using it seemed I had energy to do boring mundane tasks but it was false energy and it was a lie.
Today I don't live in lies, but in truth with a clear mind.
Lily

Be patient with yourself. You are doing great. Glad you posted about being forgetful. I get to the top of the stairs, forget what I'm after, go down, remember, go back up again. This happens MORE than once or twice a day. Not to mention that I've got this clumsy thing going on and trip going up the stairs more often than not.
Looking at the bright side as I try to do, I'm getting much needed excercise and it's better than falling down!

Bella, I had to make 'to do' lists in early recovery. I think that a lot of my energy was focused on getting myself better physically, spiritually and mentally and other things were sometimes forgotten.
I'm glad you're felling better.
