Starting today
Hi all,
I just found this site and I am so tired of being tired of drinking, as you all can probably relate to. I just am going to take it minute by minute right now. This looks like a very supportive site. I will keep you posted on what I hope to be the start of a new life

Wecome Lisa. I know just how you feel. Four years ago those were my thoughts, too. When I found SR I received all the encouragement and support I needed to begin my journey to sobriety. I drank all my life, and I had some rocky days - but the people here have never let me down. I hope you'll feel comfortable and filled with hope, as I did.

Minute by minute is a good start and so
is beginning to change a few things to help
you not drink during those minutes.
I had all things related to alcohol removed
from my home by family members while I
was in a 28 day rehab, so when i got home
there wouldnt be any temptation there for
me to reach for if I should get angry, sad,
fearful, lonely or if cravings became too much
for me to handle on my own.
Staying connected to a support systems to help
you along.

Congratulations on deciding to get sober - You've come to a great place!
I never would have believed it when I was drinking, but life is so much better now that I'm sober. Keep getting through those minutes - it's worth it!

. I'm was very tired too. Good news is minute by minute you don't have to be anymore!
