Really Irrational Thought!

My local grocery store has a full bar, actually a full bar and a separate wine bar. For five dollars you can shop for your weekly sustenance with a yummy glass of poison!

Tonight as I was descending the escalator into the store and staring at the bar patrons (well, not them; their drinks) i had the physical sensation of holding a glass of wine.

Then an insidious voice whispered, "it doesn't count as long as you chug it.". I believed it for a second, then picked up a bunch of radishes and moved on.

Anyone else had stupid thoughts like that?

Good for you.

If it were me, I would have to find a new grocery store.

If you have ever heard of Avart then that was the devil voice speaking to you. Not you. Separate yourself from that voice because it is not you. Hang in there

I think that kinda goes along with the insanity of our thinking in regards to our drinking. I would definitely need a new grocery store.

Duke: I just ordered the AVRT book tonight. Looking forward to reading more about it.

Frankly there is little real temptation to drink and shop because I've always thought people look really stupid doing it. Ive even seen people on DATES.

My irrational mind just created this doozy of a dream scenario:

Sitting at a table on my business trip. While I don't drink that doesn't mean I can't order a glass of wine and look at it to prove my strength, right? So I order the drink (in my mind), it comes to the table, I stare at the drink with firm resolve to not drink it....then my mind whispers "well, its there just have a sip.". I go to grab the glass....

Then the real me snaps back to life. I actually laughed.

Moving on...

Yes.. Had one just now. "Wish we had those in AZ, we only occasionally get drink samples (mouthwash sized) at our grocery stores". They are free though and usually served by attractive women.
