Sorry in advance... the TMI thread

Am I the only one coming off drink suffering from bowel issues? I thought drinking was the problem and when I stopped I expected that I wouldn't need to use the bathroom so much but it seems to be worse now than ever. Wherever I go I need to make sure I know where the bathroom is.

I HATE asking about this, lol, but we seem to be able talk about anything here.

sometimes it can take our bodies a while to recuperate - and naturally that applies to all parts of our body

If you're concerned why not see a Dr FRH? Best to put your mind at ease

I will Dee, if it continues. Hoping it clears up because after rehab I don't need any additional medical bills at the moment.

Thanks!

The last few months of my drinking, I wasn't eating much at all, so now I'm making up for it. My entire digestive system was messed up, but it seems to be becoming normal again.

That's my problem. I quit drinking in early Nov. and I've had three short (one night) relapses in that time but the bowel issue is relatively new, just within the last couple of weeks.

Really, sorry to bring up such an unpleasant subject!

Had birthday dinner at my folks tonight and spent half of it in the bathroom...they figured I drowned

I've been wanting to start a tmi thread for a while!

Can't say I've had your issues. I've become fairly...ummm...healthy in that way since quitting drinking.

My tmi is earwax! I no longer have copius amounts of it, and no more sand in my eyes when I wake up. I've been itching to ask if that was anyone else's experience.

Thanks for posting this. I was going to ask this question but couldn't muster the courage.

Update:

I've been researching this to see what I could find and one thing I noted is that the melatonin I started taking to help me sleep may most likely be the culprit - in my case, anyway. I'm going to stop it for awhile to see if the problem clears up.

My diet has been horrible lately- the more pills I took the less I cared what I ate and I also stopped my daily workouts a few weeks ago. I caved and took an immodium pill and am feeling soooooo much better. When I used to eat well and work out regularily I could almost time my morning bathroom time to the second. Will be nice for that to be again soon.
