Oh man, THIS.

I also don't have to worry about apologizing for my actions the night before. I no longer have regrets, how refreshing that is!

I don't look at my phone before I even get out of bed to read the texts- either to find out who I drunk texted or to maybe try and figure out where i was/what i did

I actually get some restful sleep, instead of just passing out on the couch for hours until I finally crawl into bed for 2 or 3 hours of actual sleep! I was so tired of doing that to myself every night! Sleeping is my favorite part about being sober

When I go to bed sober...I wake up knowing my son has finished all his homework('Cus I helped). I can not only remember giving my kids a healthy dinner, but remember actually having dinner with them and tucking them into bed. And I wake up knowing my kids arent gonna either miss, or be late to school because Im either still too drunk or too hungover to get up.

Ugly, heartbreaking times... =/

One strange problem I'm dealing with is that my husband snores and now that I'm not passing out every night he often wakes me up. Still trying to work around that!

When I go to bed sober I know I don't have food forgotten in the microwave or oven.

I hate that one and I've done it myself a time or two.

No more beer bottles all over the place. My shop is much neater.

I had to drive a friend home last night after his car broke down and I didn't have to worry about getting pulled over with beer on my breath.

My wife finally just moved into the spare room.

Since my daughter falls asleep on the couch most of the time I can just go into her bed!

When I was little I always wondered why my grandparents slept in seperate bedrooms...

I think I get it now.

Well between the snoring and the constant reek of whiskey I don't blame her.

I have the same issue! Causes me some anxiety because I know it might be a difficult night's sleep near him. I suppose with time we'll sleep more soundly and won't notice it as much? That's what I'm hoping.

YES!!! Mine works nights so thankfully I only have to deal with it on weekends - unless I'm trying to sleep in after he comes to bed in the mornings. But I don't feel bad about heading for the couch or my daghter's bed, whichever is available. I need my sleep!

When I go to bed sober...the first thought in the morning is NOT "am I hungover?", not knowing yet whether or not I got drunk the night before. The answer was usually yes.

I've been awake since 3:30AM so it's time for me to try and get some sleep. Looking forward to returning tomorrow to read more.

Good sober night!
