Sober for nearly 7 days...
Thank you all for the responses, it really does help, and it is getting better. Much better.
Less sweating, less mind-twisting nightmares, less head aches, less all over body aches, all this after only one week!? I didn't really believe myself I would last this long, but now I'm more determined than ever.
Big thank you all, keep up the good work :-)

It now is seven days, seven whole days! Hopefully it gets a bit easier now. I've certainly started to taste food better, and have a bit more energy, just hope the sleep thing improves.
Tough thing is I had to give up smoking also, I can't smoke without a drink and I can't drink without a smoke, so both bad habits had to go, very difficult but I know I can do it!!!

Congrats on 7 days Marius!
I just celebrated 6 months sober on 1-5-11. It does get easier as time goes on, but the first few months are definitely the hardest! Keep up the good work and know you are doing something wonderful for yourself!!! We're all rooting for you and know you CAN do it...

Keep at it Marius. Seven days is a landmark. You're doing so well and it does get easier.
You're already starting to notice small improvements, and as time passes you'll notice that other things in your life will also improve. You'll gain benefits that you weren't even expecting. The sleep will come in time, so in the meantime try and forget about it being a problem. Sometimes, obsessing about sleeping is what is actually stopping us getting the sleep.
Great to have you here.
