A month
A month
I made a month. I decided to be sober not only for myself but for my 7 month daughter, who I didn't want to know drunk me.
The days are getting longer and I'm getting more done then before.
I can concentrate and remember things much better.
I don't know why in the back of my head I'm still thinking about it.
I've been clean from drugs for over 12 years and the thought of it doesn't enter my mind, But this alcohol seems to be really powerful.

Terrific to see you made your 1st month HWF. Getting sober when our kids are small is so cool. My son was 6 months old when I sobered up and having a sober dad has made a huge difference for him.
Do enough to maintain your sobriety, much depends on you doing that.

Booze though.....that was different. For alcohol, I needed more - more power, more direction, and a real program.
For what it's worth, I know a couple ppl who were exactly the opposite....massive drinkers who kicked it no sweat but can't EVER seem to be free from drug use/dreams/thoughts. It's just different for all of us I guess.
......you may want to seek out some help with the drinking thoughts though. Maybe there's something bigger under the surface than you realize.
