Fooled myself
Its a change in your personal perception IMO once you realized that it was bad for you instead of taking every drink and your subconsious going "come on buzz", it was saying "wait a effin second I thought we were done with this". At least that is what I see in your post. You know what you gotta do it seems, so good on you. I am sure you are like me and looking forward to being able to state this time next year that you haven't taken a single drink in 2012.

Itchy: I even questioned myself on the drive over to the store with my friend to buy the wine... like WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! grr.. My instinct said, "No big deal.." when in reality, I should've called for help.. I have a huge list of names and numbers from my AA crew, and I didn't even give them a chance.

So Cal next time you know what to do and will I hope. You have a good sobriety buddy with OV you know. And he with you. You guys keep on posting and learning and before you know it you'll be here like me with more than a year and helping others try to get there. See, I know I am not special or have more strength than you guys. Probably less because I was terrified such that my first quit was my last.
Just remember when your sobriety doesn't count anymore, neither do you.
