Still With You
Hello,
Just wanted to check in, and I'm proud to say I'm still clean. It's been almost three weeks so, this is the longest I've been sober in almost seven years. I still am having difficulty coping with the depression but, it helps knowing that this is a common side effect of the withdrawral process. I hope everyone is doing well and again, thanks for the support.

I think sometimes the holidays (or post-holidays) can make depression worse, because it feels like everything should be just wonderful and it's hard to measure up to that.
I got on antidepressants when I stopped drinking because I've had periods of depression during my life. So don't hesitate to see someone if you need to. Even with the antidepressants it took a while to get fill up the void I felt. It's going to get better, so hang in there!
