Without SR I would be without SR, I just don't like the infighting. If drunks aren't a community, who is? I remember buddies taking my back and it wasn't a light thing. I love you all and am not being judgemental. I like dialogue not discord or discourtesy.

I guess I have noticed a little infighting lately (not just gracefully expressed disagreement). When I read that I just think that either the person is drinking, the person is going through a really bad emotional time, or something the person said that he disagrees with that pushed a button (from who knows where in his psyche). I don't like it though....I like to think of this group as my security blanket, while at the same time feeling that the group are friends that care enough to tell me when I am going down the wrong road. I love this place.

I think a little compassion and understanding goes a long way, no matter where we're standing, y'know?

And while I'm grateful for the kudos I'd really hate anyone to think this was a one man show lol - we have a great Newcomers team here with Anna, Artsoul, CarolD, Hevyn, Impurrfect too - all the other mods greeters and chat mods - & of course all you fantastic posters

Holiday stress, and it is not restricted to us people with alcohol issues be they our own, or another's. Let's not lose the faith and see more than is really there Fitz. I am not saying the discord isn't there. I am seeing some short fuses where they were better the rest of the year. The rest of us are still here too. I have also seen many posts that were uplifting as well. Sometimes we focus on the worst when we are going through a lot of that holiday stress ourselves. I will get through it. Join me Bud.

Dee and Itchy I know, thanks for pointing it out. I am short fused. I will listen, I will learn. Recovery is a lot more than not drinking. I never meant my post to be offensive, just a lot of loss in my life lately and too sensitive. But I won't quit or quit on others.

I've been trying to be good but this time of year always ends up bring out the worst in me. I've been grouchy lately. After this weekend the Holidays will be over, my sobriety trifecta.

I saw an ad for the Muppets today and thought of Dee. I always imagine you in real life like the red headed sax player guy.

I know the holidays can bring out the worst in a lot of us. There's so much pressure to do things and parties galore. I think there are a lot of us that breathe a sigh of relief when it's all over. Right or wrong, it is what it is.

Of course when you read some of the post you really don't get to hear the person's voice or see their facial expressions so I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt and hope their heart is in the right place as they hit the reply button. Many of us are pretty fragile here and new to making good choices sooooo....

you have not offended anybody that I know of save one, and he on another thread came back when he jumped the gun and took offense where you had none, he just read too fast.
