Sober Loss

Going home to the end of mom but 92 year olds end. I'm so sad but sober sad is not so sad. My love to all My SR friends, I need support and I KNOW I have it. Thank you for being here for me. Wouldn't make it otherwise/ I will give back.

Thanks all. Its been a really bad few days. I guess it comes this way but I'm so blessed to have my SR friends. I think friendship is the key. Buddhist say Sanga, it's all fellowship/

(((Fitz))) - I'm sorry:( Like you, I've held on to the people here to get me through the tough times, and I've never been let down. We're here for you :grouphug:

Hugs and prayers,

Amy

So proud of you for handling these terrible times sober. We now know drinking only makes us more emotional & less able to deal with things. Wish I'd learned that long ago.

My deepest sympathies to you regarding your mother and my most sincere congratulations on your continued sobriety. Your strength is an inspiration to all.

I know the feeling, it happens increasingly often after 50. My condolences on the waiting for the inevitable. Your Mom is blessed to have you as a son.

MycoolFitz 12-29-2011 06:16 PM

Darn, I'm almost glad I'm a drunk (not maybe really) I don't think I ever felt the connection with the sober world I do with you all. The best people I ever met were in treatment and service--Of course we were sick or serving :-)

FHB1 12-29-2011 06:27 PM

Sorry for your loss, MycoolFitz. Stay strong and take care.
