Day 1 - Here we go!
Began my first day of sobriety today and I already feel so good about myself! I was worried about how I would feel physically, but my doctor put me on a 4-day course of Librium to help with any withdrawal symptoms and so far the symptoms have been minimum.
Even better, I went to the convenience/liquor store to get some juice, water, soda and soup, and didn't even LOOK in the liquor section. While I was there, I got invited to a NYE party and said no because I had other plans. That was a very "high" (excuse the word) moment too.
So I'll be spending the evening at AA, reading the BB with my sponsor, then home with my family. It is going to be really good not waking up with a hangover!
