I don't think they mean anything....I do know that you don't want to have a pocket full of white chips. One is all I have...so far.

I think it's so we can see them better when handing them out! Ours are aluminum, 1 day is silver.

I thinking about buying a zippo lighter for each X amount of time sober.
They say buy yourself a gift but cigarettes and beer are all I want. So I guess
if I get a reminder like something I would use everyday to remind me of
my sobriety, like a lighter.

I been sober for a couple of days so I can use the white lighter.

If I been sober for 30 days I could use the orange lighter.

If I drink then I have to use the white lighter and start all over.

If I been sober 90 days I can use the red lighter.

If I been sober 6 months I can use the yellow lighter.

9 months sober green lighter.

1 year blue lighter.

Maybe I should start with the lighter with the Serenity Prayer on it first.
