Congrats on day five! That is huge, or at least was for me! But then again every day was huge at first for me too. Each one a success I could not believe I was actually getting done instead of dreaming about somehow getting free of being a drunk!

I got the tense roller coaster feel too the first two weeks but much less with each day over one week. I also did my first seven days in-patient for detox. I needed the head start as I couldn't get one day myself. So you are where I was when i got out already! Looks like you are going to make it today too!

Keep posting!

I went to my family to relax and rest.

my doc is weed, so i didn't have dangerous withdrawls just very tense, bit sweaty, and agitated, lousy sleeping, but their love (they don't know anything about) pulled me through the first few days.

I'm pullin for ya! It's so very hard but we have to keep telling ourselves we are doing this to stay alive and not die a slow plainful death. I've done some reading and have watched a few scary YouTube videos and I think I'm slowly getting it.

Be strong and reach out for help here and where ever you can get it. BTW I'm still working on all this too! LOL
