What a beautiful JT tune, and one that I have not heard before. Gives chills here. Now there is someone who has come through some tough dark days of addiction himself, that lyric speaks to that so well.

Blessings to you Dee and to yours. You are a constant force for all that is good, for all that is needed here. Thanks.

An Aussie Christmas

Living in Australia, as my husband and I did for two years, gave us two wonderful years of Down Under Christmases, where Christmas is celebrated in the heat of summer. I was amused by the Christmas cards my Aussie friends gave me that showed Santa in the snow, whilst we put our "shrimp on the barbie". Ha! Not us! Roast turkey in the summer!

Back in 1974, you could NOT find American mayonnaise, or popcorn, or Mexican tortilla shells (which I learnt to make myself), or any of my favorites such as those.

We even brought home our own little firstborn Aussie back to the States.

NEVER got used to Vegamite! Ugh!

Merry Christmas, Dee, and everyone on SR!

Much love,

FT

Merry Christmas Dee, I appreciate you being here and acting as a good voice of reason as often as you do.

Merry Christmas everyone else, too! I wouldn't be sober if it weren't for all of you.

Thanks to everyone for the best wishes

the day was good - but it's good to be home

we had a huge repast of prawns (shrimp) bugs (crayfish) turkey and ham with associated salads...then the puddings...

that was enough to exhaust me - without all the other stuff

so, an early night for me - but have a great day everyone
wishing you all the very best today

D
