Thats the way it is
Morning everyone. I was up at 5.30am to take my daughter to the airport. A clear head goes a long way at that time. I am coming up for 7 months sober. I am thankful for the increasing sense of freedom, and emotional flexibility that I am experiencing. I find I can now be more assertive whilst remaining in control. I think I am becoming more productive. My sleep pattern has returned to something like normal.
Life is more fun.
In a word WOW. Sobriety is not a struggle, it is a treasured gift.

Great post! I am not sure if I believe this 100%, but lately I have thought that if I make it through the rest of my life sober, alcoholism could have been a blessing. I too have appreciation for just not being hungover and not waiting for the next disaster to happen. Your gratefulness shows how well you are doing. Congratulations.
