Hooray for Miracles!
Even tiny little ones...that will hopefully grow into healthy big ones!
My fiancee and I (been together 8 years, getting married April 7) found out last night, and confirmed this morning with a doctor visit, that in 8 months or so we will be first-time parents! It is quite honestly the best news I've ever received. Ever. In my whole life.
I am thankful beyond words that we are being blessed with this gift right now, and not 21 months ago (the end of my downward alcoholic spiral) or 3 years ago or when we first met. I'm not sure how I would've handled this situation if it had happened then, but I'm in a much better place now with the changes I've made in my life these last 20 months without a drink. Our wedding was already planned, and we are both 30 so we likely would've started talking about children pretty soon after the wedding. I guess the schedule just got bumped up a few months.
Thank you to all the wonderful people here who helped me turn my life around. It appears that it was just in time.
We haven't told anyone yet (you're the first!); we'll be telling family and friends this weekend. But I couldn't hold it in any longer, and I had to share my happiness with my SR family.

Sometimes, things just come together in such a magnificent way, don't they!
Congratulations to you and MrsSnarf. I hope we will get to see some photos of BabySnarf in about 8 months.
