Well its the 2nd day, Ive been strong. Last night was a bit tough as Im use to having my nightly glass or glasses of wine. Needless to say I didnt get much sleep but hopefully I'll be sleepy for tonight. Today on the way home from work I must have driven past 10 or more liquor stores in my town and was tempted to stop then I noticed a grand opening for a new gym and decided to check it out. I ended up joining. I figure I need to keep busy on my down time so why not try to lose the 20 lbs I gained in the past year from the empty calories I consumed from the alcohol. I hope everyones having a productive day.

hi madamx! i'm in a very similar boat..i'm 7 days sober and everyday is a struggle. i don't even trust myself to buy groceries because the wine aisle screams my name. taking it day by day.

i'm in outpatient now, and am joining a gym too. i've also gained 20 pounds this past year...how awesome to be healthy and sober. i dream about it.
