Day 1 for the umpteenth time

Am really serious this time as I am sick and tired of being sick and tired. I got that line from a film and it sums up the way I feel.

Kza-

I had about 500 Day 1's until it finally stuck. Keep positive and keep trying and you will get there. What your recovery plan?

Don't have a plan other than to keep busy, eat well and exercise. I cannot go to AA as I work abroad in a city that has no meetings. Believe it or not there are some places that do not have AA. I am also reading about drink problems and watching stuff on YouTube.

I live in North Africa where there are 2 meetings in the whole country(for the longest time I thought there were no meetings at all). I do online meetings when I can and I've gotten an online sponsor to whome I talk everyday on skype or ***** video/audio. I live in Morocco and he is american and lives in Estonia. When I lived in Florida I took AA meetings for granted

Alcoholics Anonymous : LONERS INTERNATIONALISTS MEETING (LIM)

This should be the page for AA Loners Internationalists, for people who don't have meetings available.

Welcome Kza

I just watched a doco on Kazakhstan. I live and work in China. It takes me up to 4 to 5 hours to get to a meeting in Hong Kong, quicker getting home. There are meetings on the mainland as well but i need to work at those times. I am grateful that I can get to meetings. So, I make 2 meetings once a week and use this website daily.

I am sober now, 6 months and feeling stronger everyday. I understand that feeling of being sick of yourself, basically.

I think that the 12 step program can be done without attending meetings. Online meetings are a good idea, as Sugarbear suggested.

Thanks Wakeup and Sugarbear for the links

all the best

CaiHong

Watch all 10 installments of Rain in My Heart on YouTube. It is a devastating documentary on alcoholism filmed in the UK. It will definitely help with your sobriety.

Welcome, Kza!

I decided to get sober after discovering this forum and it's been my daily support since then - it's a great place!
