Going through nightmare and pins/nails

Going through withdrawals still and this stage I'm getting nightmare and pins/nails. I don't understand why I forgot about this when I start drinking. I'm doing my detox. Don't understand why I let myself down this road. Can't go to AA yet because I'm not at least 80% well yet. I need to be somewhat recover first.

Bad thing about it was I was looking forward to the job I got and drive. That's out of the picture now have to start again. Market is hard.

Hang in there. It's hard, I know. At least you can post here and get some immediate comments and support.

Everyone in AA always tells me to remember my last drunk so that I can get in touch with those feelings when I'm feeling like picking up a drink. If I ever have a relapse again I am going to write down every moment of the next day, how I feel and of course what the withdrawl is like It's funny how our minds are so resilient and like us to forget the bad times. These are the bad times we need to stay in touch with so we don't pick up again.

Might I suggest you see a Dr. If you get a caring physician, they will reduce the risks and hopefully help ease withdrawal.

I had the help of a Dr. but can't advise what they prescribed due to the rules, but it helped.

Fight the good fight, and get through it.
Take it easy, watch TV, play video games, eat, drink water, drink Gatorade, take vitamins and exercise.

Sounds like you're suffering, Act10n - why not go see a Dr?
