Day 2
Hey all,
Today is day 2 of sobriety for me.
I have had a drinking problem for about 7 years now and would label myself an alcoholic. It's been a while since I've gone more than a few days without drinking, and the longest I've been sober may have been for about 45 days and I was really trying.
I'm hoping this forum will help because I have not had a lot of luck trying to kick this alone.

With the help and support of this site, and my weekly counseling sessions with my addiction counselor, I've been sober for almost two years now. But don't hesitate to get outside/real life help if you need an extra push.
Welcome to the family.

Congrats on 2 days! Keep reading and posting on here. It truly helps so much. Part of recovery is remembering that you are in alcoholic and coming on here can truly put things in perspective. I am on day 17 and have already found a lot of strength from here.
Congratulations on day two. Doesn't seem like much, but it's huge. Just remember you never have to drink again.
You'll find a lot of experience, strength and hope here, so post as often as you need to.
Welcome to the community, and keep it up!
Best to you.
