Owning Up to Relapse

Today in treatment I told my group that I relapsed over the weekend. They didn't have to tell me not to beat myself up. It happens, and I know this. When it does you just get back on the horse.

Feeling pretty good today though I admit I feel regret at losing the 22 sober days I'd built up. But on the plus side, I'm more cautious now and have a backup plan to deal with cravings.

I'll feel a lot better when the holidays are over, though.

Hey FRH - still the class of November :)

What's the back-up plan? Can I steal it LOL.

I just THOUGHT about the Class of November thing. Another plus! :-)

The backup plan? If I feel like hitting the bottle, use the phone and call someone instead. I have a great support system and I only need to remember to use it.
