celebrate 1 year at 2 mtgs.???

Question....I just celebrated my one year last Thursday, this was at my "home group". I want to share also with a mtg I sometimes, haven't for a while, attend on Tues. Night. Is it "okay" to announce 1 year and share again??? There are some, only a few, that I've seen that go to both...or is that like vain or double dipping???

Oneyear,

Share at both - the purpose of medallion are not just to recognize your anniversary, but to demonstrate to the newcomers that the program works. Share on!

Absolutely -- you share to show others it can be done.

Congratulations on your one year!

I wouldn't think you'd have to take a medallion at both but I would definately share at both. That's what AA is all about. Wow, I'm proud of you...that is awesome.

Double dip - we had a guy take a chip for him at his home group and a chip for his wife at ours. It's all good!

You should shout from the roof tops as this is a massive achievement.

I know that by seeing people who are sober for 1 year would inspire me at my CA meetings.

Go to the extra meeting and celebrate the 1 year clean, I know I would!

I agree with everyone here. My sponsor insists I go to multiple meetings sort of a chip tour so as many newcomers as possible can see there is hope. He even has me go to this huge meeting I never go to that has a lot of newcomers.

Go to as many as you want and share your success.
