Throwing up (again)
Throwing up (again)
Throwing up and withdrawing again, I've done this a thousand times, it feels like, but I never learn my lesson. Once again, I'm walking around the house with an empty yogurt tub to puke in, in case I don't make it to the toilet in time.
There is a part of me that doesn't want to give up drinking. The trick is, I have to give it up even though there is always going to be a voice that doesn't want to.

Just keep that yogurt tub handy. Look at it every time that voice tries to convince you that drinking makes things better. Because that is where drinking leads you—and it will get worse if you let it.
Hope you feel better, and never go through this again.

That voice will be more and more silent as time goes by....
I know it seems so hard right now. Just know that it WILL get better. You can live the sober life you deserve...that is your natural state. Hang in there and know you can count on us for support.

Don't wait until all you *want* is to quit drinking, because those times dont happen generally until *after* you have already quit drinking for awhile. Sobriety is wholly an experience, and not simply an earned possession or an award seemingly deserved.
Discover within yourself the strength to surrender to the impossible dilemma before you in facing your alcoholism: sobriety is the solution you want even if you dont want it. Have courage!
