I'm just so thankful I've found this website although I don't understand why I have to post 5 threads before I can reply to personal messages. I met some lovely people yesterday who I would like to private message with but I'm not allowed to until I post these threads. Can anyone help to get round this?

There is no way around the Rule, Ruby.

The purpose of the rule is to prevent spam and, in general, to protect our members. This is a huge website and we all work very hard to keep things safe.

In the meantime, feel free to post on the boards.

Its only five threads , after you have some time you will look back and have hundreds.We are not going anywhere. :)
