Day 15

Sober for 15. Very happy about that. I'm a little disappointed that my bathroom scale hasn't cooperated with missing out on the extra 1,000 daily calories I've given up. I've worked out 13 of the 15 days, it feels good, mentaly and physically. Just no budge on the scale???? at least I feel healthier and have a clearer mindset. I'll keep on working at it. I guess I'm in a hurry and impatient to get to where I want to be.

As an alkie I was a member of the Instant Gratification Society.;) Now that I'm sober I have more patience.:)

Good job on your sober time. :scoregood

If you're weight training you may be gaining muscle and still burning fat.

Use the mirror not the scale IMO.

If you trade 20 lbs of fat (basically) for 10 lbs of muscle, that's only 10 off the scale, but it will look way better than just losing 10lbs of fat.

Cograts on 15 days Carninalfan! I'm at 16.
I live in the St. Louis area too.
The lbs aren't melting off for me either. I think now that I've cut out drinking I'm eating more. No more drinking my supper.

Yeah - and I'm not too pleased with my scale either - gained like 2-3 lbs!! I was like WTH - you've got to be kidding me - then I went and got a piece of chocolate (he he)

Anyway - I hear you about the scale - but still happier I'm not drinking sounds like you are as well.

The thing is....I was expecting a huge weight loss. (I am 20lbs from my goal weight) So I walk 4-5 miles, 5-6x week, plus weight training, 2 day split, upper body one day then legs and abs. I added hiking on the days off work (gotta make it fun too), I ride my bicycle on good weather days, up to 30 miles, deep water aerobics once a week. I work full time, on my feet, moving constantly. Now, no alcohol for 16 days.....it's gotta be my diet. Now I will really feel deprived. I started a low carb this morning. It worked for me 10 years ago and I lost 50lbs. Geezzz what timing....Thanksgiving tomorrow.....no pie????arrrrggggghhhh.
