its like they knew it was day 4
so i would have to say this was a challageing day 4, it like today was my bully and it through a lot of stuff at me today. it started at 1230 this morn when my girl friends daughter woke up and screamed from 1230 to 2. i was late gettin up and rushed to drop off my daughter and make it to work by 7. i did all that no prob. i get to work and a friend asked how sobrity was going and i told him i was doin AA and SR online. his response was IT WONT WORK, YOULL NEVER MAKE IT. so i told him its my program and it works for me. man, haters, what ever. so that made me made a little. than another guy was givin me the stink eye all day, we dont like each other anyways but it seamed like he made it a point to make me notice.on my way home the was a beer in the middle of my dads drive way when i was pulling up, so i ran it over(yes) anyway i get home built puzzles with my kid and settling down now. man it was crazy so that was my day, it seams like everything lines up to be harder or seam harder. good night SR
I think the early days are often hard - I don;t think I realised how much I relied on alcohol to adjust my mood until day 3/4 or so.
Keep in mind too your mind and body are recuperating - it's very normal to feel over irritated and thin skinned for a while.
Keep the faith, tho, Geno

I too have dealt with folks like that. I attempted to stay sober so many times doing things the way others thought it should be done. I finally realized that something wasn't working and I had to start fixing myself on my terms. Not to jinx myself.....it seems to be working this time. I just got to 378 days of sobriety and it's the longest I've ever had since starting to drink.
Please just keep your head up and remember to do what you feel is best for you and take other's opinions with a grain of salt.
Good luck, Jenn
