Talking 5 Months Sober

WOW It's been 5 months now for me. This last month has been the best so far. I've had way more good days than bad ones. I went on a 2 hour long car ride with my wife. I haven't done that since I quit. I deal with car sickness/anxiety. I was able to be in the car and not freak out or feel sick. I feel that things are getting better as each month goes by. I hope that it just gets better and better. So glad to be sober and out of the grip of alcohol. I know I'll face more challenges as I go on, but I feel that I can handle anything.

Great job man! It's been fun to read your updates and see your progress. It's amazing how life opens itself up and that we find we are much more capable than we realized under the influence.

Good on you BGS,

I am 5.5 months sober and feeling way better too but still have cravings for a drink. How about you and what are you doing to stay sober?

@CaiHong I don't really have to fight the craving to much. The only time it's been hard on me is going out to a dinner with a lot of people and when we have get together s at my house. Luckily that doesn't happen to often. And when it does I just remember what I've been through these last 5 months. That keeps me strong.

@LoftyIdeals I'm glad to have given you that help. Stay strong and keep up the great work. Living sober is way better then being a drunk mess all the time.

delighted for you on your 5 months. I see you call yourself bigguyslim........have you lost much weight then? Im really looking forword to looseing some weight for christmas. I did a tally on the amout of calories I drank a week and im disgusted to admit it was average 4,500 boozy cals a week!!!Yikers!! That has to good for a few lbs. Im going to wait till week 3 to weigh myself, im hoping the scales will be kind! Fantastic, uplifting news that gives the likes of me, on day 10 great hope. Thank you xx
