One week sober!!!!!!
 

Hi all! Just wanted to share my happiness about my first sober week in a long, long time. I've attended AA meetings daily and am feeling pretty strong. Between all you wonderful people on SR and AA I couldn't ask for a better support system. THANK YOU!

I too am at a week. I feel better in the morning. But I go from strength and confidence to craving like a yo yo.

That's very normal for early recovery. Just remember that cravings don't last forever and the more you ignore them, the dimmer they'll get.:)

Congrats on your week Tell... That's awesome!!! Stick with this. I remember having a week in in AA and seeing people get 5 year tokens and being like "What the hell are you still doing here"???? Today, I get why they are still there. This is a daily deal. And every once in a while we tally up the days and see what they add up to. I went to AA like 5 different times and never got a 30 day token. That all changed last year. I remember getting that 30 day token, I literally teared up. It was one of the proudest days of my life.

Stick with this man... It only gets better!!!!
