Like Coming Home
Hi guys. I have been off this site for the past several weeks. I have both succeeded and failed during that time. So I'm anxious to try again to get real control of my life and as I have thought about it, I have decided I need to rejoin the conversation on SR. So hello to all of you out there. I hope you are doing well.
So I guess I need you guys. Or I need to do conscious work each day. I suppose I will be a little self-absorbed for a while, but I promise to always try to encourage others too. That's part of it for me.
I have had such a struggle this Fall. But I just decided this evening that I need to commit to SR again. So I will no doubt bore some people, but I need to do this.
Happy Sunday evening. Day One.

Good to see your post, Missy!
That's what it takes for me...... Just coming here and reading (even if it's only for 10 minutes), always gives me strength. In the beginning, I had my morning coffee with SR and it kinda set the tone for the day.
Bore us? I don't think so!!

Welcome Back ,Missy ..............every day I get out of bed is the begining of another day of staying clean and sober and passing on the Message.I'll be 25 years Clean and Sober on the 25th of the Great and Blessed Month of November.Keep coming back...........
Welcome back Missy! Remember, if this were easy, everyone would be cured. Think of it this way. 10% (appox) of our population struggles with this disease. Of that 10% only 1% find their way into recovery and of that 1% very few have over a year of sobriety...
My point is, this is not easy - but it's worth it! As long as we keep trying and really try and make life changes we're on the right track. Try and be thankful for what you have and what didn't happen while you were active again. It can ALWAYS be worse.
Let's turn the page and start over. Today is a new day and if we can just stay sober today it will be a good day!!!!
Best of luck to you!
