I'm at about 4 and half months sober from alcohol now. It's been hard and a big life change. I've noticed every month something gets a little better. I deal with car sickness/anxiety when I go places. The last 5 day there has been no car sickness/anxiety at all. I drove on the freeway 2 different days and drove with a friend, and was able to talk and just felt relaxed. It was really nice. Hasn't happen in a while. I hope it just keeps getting better.

Good on you Bigguyslim,

I am 5 months sober and have noticed I haven't been anxious for ages, your post reminded me of that. It is great to post and tell newcomers, especially since the anxiety can be very severe in early sobriety and if people know that it does diminish with time it encourges people to hang in there, it does get better.
