Welcome to SR Lilblodefgrl,
While I can't help with getting you to a meeting, I can tell you about my experience with the AA,
I too was very scared to go at all never mind alone, I did however manage to pluck up the courage and call them, they quickly put me in touch with a member of my local meeting, I spoke with him on the phone and he could clearly hear I was worried, he offered to meet me outside the meeting so that we could have a little chat before I decided to go into the full room, he was very understanding and helpful and I did go into that meeting and a few more afterwards.
perhaps this could be an option for you?
Hope you get to that meeting and good luck
AoS

Hi lilblondegirl
I'm not in NA (or Anaheim) but I can imagine it's a big effort to find to courage to just walk in.
People do it every day tho - from what I hear NA/AA meetings are meant to be welcoming
Maybe ring your local NA office - they might be able to connect with someone who's going to the same meetings you want to?

Lilblondegrl,
I used to live in OC and there are hundreds of meetings all over and lots of solid recovery if you want it. Call the OC NA hotline at 714.590.2388. Just tell whoever answers everything you told us and tell them you want another woman to take you to an NA meeting. They will take care of you.
I stress another woman because you don't need any guys hitting on you you just need to get clean.
Also here is the website: Orange County Area of Narcotics Anonymous
Let us know how it goes.
