Feeling Great!!!
Feeling Great!!!
Four days in and feeling great!!! Went to the store and walked right passed the wine section. Yes, I did have a little pang, but told the voices in my head to shut it!!!
I know it is controversial but the non-alcoholic wine route has really helped me. One, it has the sugar my brain wants, two, I can put it in a pretty glass..ha..j/k, and three, it fills that void between 5:00 and 9:00 when I did 95% of all my drinking during the week. Eventually I will tire of the cost and move on to water and/or tea but it seems like a good bridge for me right now while I retrain the brain. I suspect it has been a little easier since I was not drinking heavily for 8 weeks but I'll take what I can get at this point!

I wouldn't sweat it about the non alcoholic wine. The sugar thing, I had 3 mango slushies the other night. I am not happy about ingesting that much sugar but I didn't pick up a drink so I have absolutely no guilt.
Good on you for the 4 days
