Hi All,
I'd thought I'd say Hi before I started posting. My story is quite simple,I have a drinking problem and it's one I've denied for years but it's now time to put an end to those mornings waking up full of regret and shame and just quit the drinking!! I've been reading some of your posts on here and they are so inspiring - life can be fun/normal without alcohol (which is something I never thought I'd say)
Anyways good luck to everyone and I look forward to chatting to you all some more

Welcome clio. I'm new here also, but for just a few weeks now I have found this to be a great source of good advice and inspiration. It does help to here the about the triumphs and failures of others. You feel less isolated or unique in your plight. Lot's of us suffer this dreadful circumstance. I am so familiar with that "waking up in shame" thing. Hang in there, and stay here with us. I think we can make progress best among the people who really understand most clearly what we are all going through.
