To celebrate my 5th day dry..
I treated myself to the Blue Ridge Parkway! I didn't go too far up but did make it to the Mount Pisgah trail then I drove back because the trees were dying / dead with no leaves - Enjoy - https://picasaweb.google.com/1054818...arkway10212011
Anyways I'm feeling good and went for a walk after I got off the parkway which improved my mood even more. Now I'm getting tired and it's only 6 pm.
Keep up the great work everyone and I'll keep updating. I might add the cellphone pictures I took in a bit if I'm still awake.

Awww this just plucked my heartstrings. Last year I lived in a small community in North Carolina, basically in the Pisgah national forest (the border for the forest was right behind our outhouse) and I have so many fond memories of driving around with my friends on the blue ridge parkway. It's so so beautiful.
congrats to all......I'm on my second day and also went for a walk....exercise is a very good thing for us......just enjoying a nice walk without the blur is absolutely wonderful.....

Thanks everyone and I do feel great on the morning of day 6! I did however go to bed at 8 pm because of being active instead of drinking, I was worn out and I still remember yesterday!

Greetings from Sylva and congrats on your 5th and 6th. days sober!
Not to mention making it up to Mt. Pisgah during leaf season, a feat in it's own right!
I typically head for Water Rock Knob, but only because it's much closer and is the curviest section on the entire Parkway.
