Greetings everyone ... this is my first time here and I just wanted to say how happy I am to have found this site! I'm still finding my way, but I'm looking forward to reading the posts and joining people in a scheduled meeting. For now, adieu and happy 24 hours..... Jane.

Hi I'm a new member of this board also and have 30 days of sobriety after drinking constantly for 23 years, I attend local AA meetings 3 or 4 times a week I have just registered online Yesterday.
I'm slowly getting used to how the site works,..glad to here from you ...I have found this site really wonderful and I've only been on it for a day ....hope to here more from you..

hi jane and welcome, neil, alcoholic from germany here, "we are not a glum lot" like carold said it is a great inbetween, after, before and whenever you can't get to a f2f meeting, check out all of the other forums as well, you never know what you'll learn,

Hi Jane,
So glad you are here! You have found a wonderful place with tons of support and friendship. Like kath said we do have a lot of fun and laughs and we help each other in our common goal to stay sober.

Hi Jane,
A belated welcome from me too -- I just starting posting here & everyone has been so nice. I'm on day 12 of not drinking -- it has been really hard, but also rewarding. I'm very grateful for this board and being able to share information and feelings. I hope you will also find it a wonderful place to share.

I have just found this site - and not a moment too soon. Recently moved from a large city with meetings available every day - now moved to small village - meetings 30 km.'s away and only on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I'm having F2F meeting withdrawal!

Hi Jane J - Welcome to SR!
I'm also new here and it's a place of honesty, hope and wonderful warmth. I don't get to meetings so this forum is in many ways a lifeline for me. While I'm at it - thanks to everyone at SR for making this a place I want to be part of.
