Two weeks

Easy? Nope.
Do I feel better? Oh my FSM do I ever.
But I am still hungry as a horse at all hours. I hope I can get that under control soon.

Congratulations!

Someone on here said something like 60% of the caloric intake of the average alcoholic comes from alcohol, so I'm not surprised that you are super hungry.

Keep going strong!

Congratulations on two weeks jaerp! I know what you mean about the hunger. I've always been a bit under my ideal weight, but the gaining needs to stop soon. I've put on ten pounds in the last month or so.

Know what is also nice? Real, honest, restful sleep. Who woulda thunk it.

I have an appt. With my doc this Friday. He's gonna yell at me for not losing the twenty lbs I said I would, but he should be happy that my BP is twenty five points lower.

Congrats jaerp !

I think most docs will take a sobriety and lower BP versus drinking , high BP and empty calorie diet !

I completely agree with the restful sleep part. Drunken sleep for years was the norm for me. Also waking up at 3am feeling ashamed and powerless. Silly me thought I needed the booze to sleep. Now two weeks sober and I sleep like a baby.

Thanks for sharing.
