Reason I'm Here

Hello Everyone
I don't want to be in denial, but there must be a reason that I'm here.
I really don't consume alcohol as much as I used to (case on Weekends, with scotch), but when I consume alcohol now, I don't have the tolerance for much and can't ward off the effects as I used to. It has now caused me serious problems in my relationship. At this point, I must do something now! else it can only get worse.

Welcome to SR!

I would recommend that you quit drinking. I don't think it really matters if you have a "problem" or if you are an "alcoholic" but by your own admission it is causing relationship problems for you. Isn't the logical thing to do to cut out the thing that is causing you woes?

Keep posting, this place is a wonderful place for support and advice.

Welcome sipnone

In my experience alcoholism is definitely a progressive thing - it's great you're here now rather than later

You'll find a lot of support here

Welcome sipnone! It's good you're taking a look at your drinking habits before more damage is done. I wish I'd had the courage to do that - so many bad things happened because I refused to see what I was doing to myself. This won't happen to you.
