7 Days Sober now... But I barely made it through today.

Hi to all

I decided not to drink again on Oct. 3rd 2011 It hasn't been easy at all but today was my worst day... I almost had a drink today that to be honest wouldn't have stop there i would have drink my brains out like I have done it in the past... Desperate i try to look for help online and found a AA cite where by the simple fact of writing my thoughts in an e-mail to someone i knew they understand what i was going through helped me and I also saw my thoughts on a screen that made me angry at myself but helped me through my weakest moment since i have decided not to have another drink again.

I want to relearn how to live without drinking again and is really tough since I can't remember how it feels like since i have been drinking since I was 14 years old...

I joined this forum hoping to find a few buddies that could help me go through those weak moments without having a drink.

you said you barely made it...but you know what? you made it. That's what matters. It won't always be this hard. There is so much great stuff to read on this site and great places to post. So much wisdom and so many great people. You will find your way...hang in!
