Hi Revielle and welcome. I'm still very early in my recovery, 5 days, and I'm trying to build up the courage to go to an AA meeting. Thanks for sharing your experience because I feel one step closer to making it happen.

My meeting last night was great, then I went to another just a few hours ago that was pretty seedy and kinda depressing lol.
My point is just go until you find one you like, its great being around other alcoholics/addicts who understand your condition.
I completely get being hesitant and working up the courage to go to a meeting though.
It was even tough for me to sign up here at first
Oh and just another update, I'm meeting up with my sponsor tomorrow afternoon to get going on step one, I'm hungry for recovery!!!!
