Finally made the decision to enter an outpatient treatment program for co-occurance disorder last week & met with the nurse today who prescribed some basic meds/ Incl Paxil. I feel like I'm being run thru a mill, supposed to start group therapy in the morning. This is my 1st time trying this & I'm already starting to get discourged, haven't even detoxed yet from opiates & there throwing me in there. Took this step on my own no pressure from anyone & want to get better but there making me feel like a #? Any advise & or encourgement would be appreciated.

I have no personal experience with this, I'm afraid - I hope others will be along soon.

It sounds pretty standard to me tho.
What were you expecting and how is this different?

Thanx D, I quess i thought there would be some 1 on 1 therapy sessions in addition to group. Obviously I should've asked more ?s but I felt rushed. I'll be there in the morning with a open mind & it will be what it will be.
