I'm not sure what 'normal' is but am pretty sure I'm not it. I've always been different, an oddball, and used to not like it but now am happy to just be myself, oddball or not.

Got to the meeting tonight, forgot until I walked in that I'd committed to chair, didn't have a topic ready -- so I used your topic (in conjunction with the first two paragraphs in "More About Alcoholism"). It was a great meeting! Thanks, Elisabeth!

Peace & Love,
Sugah

For me I found that living life sober does suck sometimes but living life drunk sucks a lot worse!

I wish I could enjoy a Belgian White or a nice Hefewiezen from time to time but that's not in my cards. I have finally realized that putting 6 good beers in my fridge means putting 24 cans of crap in to make sure I don't run out, especially if my wife decides to join me for the night. I like to think that I am perfectly normal the rest of the world is F'd up.

Hi Elisabeth,

defo not a nice place to be, around people drinking. It is more so dangerous when there are others there who arent at the stage of recovery where you are at and may want and need you to come back to old ways to make them feel better.

I think that you still would have had a nice evening when you got back from the meeting thou. The last couple of hours of the day are hours that are very precious when you have done something good that day.

If you look closely you might find that some of them weren't drinking or they only drink half or whatever. People drink way less than I thought. And the people who WERE drinking a lot? Well, BTDT and it wasn't all it's cracked up to be
